  • ALBUQUERQUE

The desert landscapes that inspire our work have been tended by Indigenous peoples for generations. We are grateful to live and create on this land.

  • We respectfully acknowledge that Albuquerque rests on the traditional homelands of the Tiwa (Tigua) people, who are part of the Tanoan Pueblo tribes. The Sandia and Isleta Pueblos remain vibrant communities here today, carrying forward their languages, traditions, and stewardship of the land.

  • New Mexico is home to 23 federally recognized Native Nations, including nineteen Pueblos, three Apache tribes, and the Navajo Nation. Albuquerque itself has one of the largest urban Native populations in the United States, representing over 400 Tribal Nations. We honor their enduring presence, resilience, and cultural contributions.
