For those of you who have followed my blog for a while (or actually know me in real life), you'll know that my background is in interior design. I was really passionate about it during college, but that fizzled a bit upon graduation (#COOL #COLLEGELOANS). However, my love for illustration and graphic design quickly grew. I started hand painting greeting cards in my free time and selling them in both my Etsy Shop and at a local weekly market. Looking back, I'm slightly horrified by what I started out selling... but hey. Pretty sure that's not uncommon. I still haven't had any formal training in illustration, but I learned SO MUCH from Megan (MaeMae Paperie
) while I interned for her. Since then I've started having my work printed by professionals (whoo!), and recently even began selling letterpress prints
. I have so many ideas for new designs that will better embody my style!! Needless to say, I'm feeling like I've outgrown Kate's Paper Goods
. To that end, I'm working on something new and exciting, and can't wait to share it with all of you!! SERIOUSLY. SO EXCITED. Anyways... just wanted to give you a bit of background before these changes take place...
As always, thanks for reading! xo!
