2013 was a good year. A year filled with many
new things -- including new friends and a new business! I'm not typically a super reflective person, but as we head into 2014 it's cool to look back and think about how things have changed for me over the past year. I launched my online shop in April and have worked with seven different retailers! I'm still juuuuust getting started, but rather than focusing on all of the things I haven't done yet, I want to appreciate the baby steps. I've learned a lot this year about owning a small business and selling wholesale (hey taxes!). I designed my first wedding invites (!!) and am hoping to continue to do freelance + custom design projects. Although there are times I wish I could fast-forward and be "more successful/established", I know that I need to put in the work. And as I look back on the last year, I can see how my work (
and the support of others, THANK YOU!) has made Odd Daughter Paper Co. a reality.
On a more personal note, I'm so grateful for all of the friends I've made this year! I've made new friends through my day job and have become part of an amazing church community. I've also continued to love living in San Diego and have really enjoyed meeting more and more rad people who live here. With all of that said, I'm excited to see where 2014 takes me!!
